	Who We Are Mission Statement Our Goals	David Hall serves as pastor of Big God Ministries based in Southern Marin County. Pastor David and his wife Denise founded this church in Spetember 2004 to bring God's message of love and hope to the heart of Marin, ministering to some of the poorest and wealthiest communities in the county. Pastor David preaches the Good News of Jesus Christ to everyone, bringing the Gospel to people who have never heard it before, and praying for people everywhere he goes.

The Bible: Where To Start?

The Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John), are a good place to start reading the Bible, because they tell about Jesus Christ – His birth, ministry, miracles, death and resurrection. The four Gospels are grouped together in the beginning of the New Testament which is found toward the end the Bible.

The Gospel of John is especially good to read first, because it focuses on Who Jesus really is: The Son of God. One of the most well-known scriptures in all the Bible is found here: "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son; that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

The Book of Psalms is another excellent place to begin reading the Bible.

Reading The Bible

Ask God to give you a quiet mind and a teachable heart. He is pleased to help you read His Word, because it is His will. Whatever you do, don't give up – just keep coming to Him.

Psalms is an Old Testament book which you will find approximately halfway through the Bible. There are 150 Psalms in all, some longer and some shorter. You could read one every day.

Whenever you read God's Word, pray and ask the Holy Spirit to give you understanding in your heart, which is where He came to live the moment you said "yes" to Him. It takes effort to read the Bible, but the more you read His Word, the more your faith will grow.
